Valdavia is a family project which hopes to bring value to Cuñas through its wines. It is one of the terroirs with most history, quality and reputation in O Ribeiro.
My father, Antonio García Carrasco, founded Valdavia in April, 2004. My sister, María, and I accompany him on this journey.
My father, Antonio García Carrasco, spent his entire working life juggling his work in the courts with his love of wine making. He learned the basics of biodynamism - the interaction of cultivation, wine and the Cosmos - from my grandfather, along with a great respect for sustainability and the environment. With these principles, he founded Valdavia in April 2004. My sister, María, and I accompany him on this journey.
I'm Alberto. I was an Industrial Engineer until I gave it up in 2009 to dedicate myself 100% to the management of the bodega. Supported by an exception technical team made up of César Alonso and Eliseo Méndez, I strive for excellence in each and every bottle of Cuñas Davia wine and I send them out into the world via our ever-expanding sales team (which has already grown beyond the Spanish borders).
